A full list of the nominees announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for an Academy Award with link to reviews of the nominated films.

With each passing year the Oscars get more and more basic, expected and boring. Gone are the days where worthy actors were awarded based on merit, with the Academy Awards being a gilded lifetime achievement award. This year’s nominations were none too shocking and we’re completely bitter over who will be the inevitable winners.

An asterisk next to the name indicates we feel the nominee deserves the award based on our viewership of the nominated films. If a name is italicized and bolded after the awards show airs on February 28th on ABC then that person was awarded the Oscar in the category in question.
